The purpose of this blog is to help people to build a strong, empowering and positive mindset. But what does that look like?
Here are a few characteristics of it:
- Respond not react to events
- Meet challenges head-on and turn them into opportunities
- Be able to make the best of any situation – learn from it, use it, grow and share the lessons
- Be able to empower and inspire others to be at their best, even when you are not at your best
- Be able to comfortably deal with uncertainty
- Remain focused on those things we can control and do something about, regardless of what we feel
- Framing negative and ambiguous events in a positive manner, and looking for the good no matter how small
- Challenging negative thinking
- Remain calm and clear headed in any situation
The more we are able to really apply these principles the more easily we can engage with life in an empowering manner.
Here are a few more tenets that will hopefully challenge and inspire you to have a stronger mindset:
- Today’s challenge is tomorrow’s strength
- Develop an irrational belief in yourself – even if people mean well it doesn’t mean they always know better
- If you are unduly apologetic, fearful and doubtful, life will give you even more reasons to feel like that
- Train hard and fight easy – arrive ready to compete, not merely to survive
- Giving 100% is its own reward regardless of the outcome
- Refuse to be a victim
- Everything you want is on the far side of hard work
Love this!
