There’s freedom from – freedom from lack, suffering and negativity. Moving away from. Then there’s a higher freedom – the freedom to do. The freedom to explore, to grow, to start, to stop. The freedom to do more of or to do less of. Then there’s the freedom always available to us – the freedom to BE. To BE loving. To BE courageous. To BE kind. To BE hopeful.
The first two freedoms manifest on the outside. Our circumstances and resources can limit them. The freedom to BE is internal. You can choose to BE at any moment, regardless of your circumstances. Yes, some people may have more resources and it might look like they have more freedom. It’s not freedom – they have more options to choose from. You can have more freedom in the power, love and presence you bring to your choices. And the more you exercise that freedom, the more it grows.
You may not yet be free from the reality of your circumstances and challenges. You are always free to choose who you are when facing them. You are already free right now, you’ve always been free. Is something that could change tomorrow the source of true freedom? Where in your world can you start to live as if you’re already free, now?
